Cable car to the Mont Faron

We’re delighted to offer campers a new excursion idea this year: Mont Faron mountain in Toulon, 25 km (30 mins) from Camping de La Pascalinette®.

To reach Toulon by car, take the main road, then the highway at the exit from Hyères. The cable car is accessible on foot and will whisk you up to the top of the mountain at an altitude of almost 600 metres. Several car parks are available near the cable car terminal. The ride lasts around 10 minutes – just enough to wonder at the magnificent views over Toulon and its Bay, the Golden Islands, La Ciotat and Mediterranean waters as far as the eye can see…
You can also drive all the way to the summit along the winding road. It takes longer than the cable car (around 50 minutes), but the view is just as breathtaking. Car parks are also available at the top (limited parking space).

Once you’ve arrived at the summit, you can visit the memorial commemorating the Allied Landings in Provence, the big cat breeding centre, or take a stroll along one of the signposted footpaths and admire the panoramic views over the Bay on one side, and Var inland countryside on the other. You’ll also find plenty of picnic tables where you can sit down to rest and eat!

And after your day out in the hot Mediterranean sunshine, you’ll love relaxing at the campsite’s gorgeous water park!
